FeONIC Transport

History and background

FeONIC Audio Drive technology was developed originally by the US Navy in the 1970s in response to a government brief.

As a result of the brief the US Navy created the highest power density synthetic material known to man for underwater sonar reproduction – a "smart material".

This smart material's ability to deliver massive force from small amounts of electrical stimulation has been used by FeONIC’s designers to create solutions for a wide range of industries and applications, including the transport sector.
