FeONIC Transport

FeONIC Transport gets off the ground!

FeONIC announces today (17 April 2008) that, following the advent of the commissioning of the production line for the new F series actuators, the it is pleased to announce that an agreement has been signed with First Class Partnerships on the formation of an associate company, FeONIC Transport Limited.

This company will be a wholly dedicated sales entity for exploiting the FeONIC® technology in the transport sector. Already strong links have been established with Transport for London, Network Rail and Tubelines amongst others. Spending in the UK alone on new investments in the rail network will total £2.5 bn over the next two years. This will include remodeling of some major stations as well as rolling stock.

It has been acknowledged that the FeONIC technology can produce highly intelligible audio which can improve the quality of announcements in public areas in a way that is both cost effective and vandal proof.

First Class Partnerships Limited is a successful consultancy with many years experience in the transport sector.

Brenda Hopkins, Chairman FeONIC plc, said:

"With the recent development of the new FeONIC® audio drives with their  wider bandwidth and greatly improved speech intelligibility we at FeONIC plc were convinced that it would be in transport applications that they would make a huge initial impact. We were therefore delighted to create FeONIC Transport Limited with Board members who have the calibre and transport pedigree of Mike Jones and Bob Clarke and also to welcome the appointment of  Managing Director, Neil Atkins, who has over 20 years experience of senior commercial management in the rail industry."
